- Abstract
The research aims to investigate to what extent restorative practices have the potential to contribute to the substantial access to justice required by the democratic rule of law for the protection of human dignity and construction of peace, which corresponds to one of the SDGs of the Organization's 2030 Agenda of the United Nations. To do so, we will use the hypothetical-deductive method, in which, starting from the research problem, we will formulate hypotheses and subject them to a falsification process. The central hypothesis of this work is that restorative circles, by allowing, in theory, mutual recognition, the intrinsic valuation of the person and guaranteeing autonomy of participants involved in a conflict, contribute to increasing levels of citizenship, and developing a peaceful and democratic. To interpret the dynamics of a peace-building circle, we will use Marcel Maus' concepts of gift and donation, brought to Legal Anthropology, under a zetetic perspective, verifying their impact on the dignity of life.
