- Abstract
The article discusses the implementation of the Supervising Officers in an Evidence-Based Environment (SOEBE) program in federal probation and pretrial services. It emphasizes the importance of supervisors in supporting and coaching officers in the use of evidence-based practices (EBPs). The program provides training through interactive presentations, discussions, role-plays, and ongoing clinical supervision. Data from participating districts showed improvements in case staffing quality after the training. The program has evolved to include non-supervisory individuals and senior officers, with the goal of enhancing evidence-based principles and improving outcomes in community corrections.
