- Abstract
The author reflects on a study which investigates reliability and success of second-line therapy in treating helicobacter pylori infections. He states that bismuth-containing quadruple therapy is an excellent choice as second-line therapy provided of one prescribe appropriate doses at least 10 to 14 days. He also discusses the failure of a clarithromycin-containing four-drug first-line therapy, the Maastricht conferences, and the goal of helicobacter pylori therapy.
