- Abstract
This article aims to analyze how the state of Mato Grosso implemented the changes in the state education network introduced by Law n°13.415/2017, verifying to what extent the alignment with the concepts of the current reform of High School and the establishment of Brazil's National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) is maintained. This is a descriptive and exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, which uses documental research as a data collection technique. The indicated data are part of an ongoing master's research, developed within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Mato Grosso. The results demonstrate that the state of Mato Grosso is in line with the training perspective brought by the BNCC, aiming at building an education model that inter-relates working hours, announcement of the development of young people's life project and the possibility of professional training linked to High School within the state network scope. The Full Time Schools were an experience in this sense. It is noted that the reform does not seem to account for the effective democratization of education, which allows conditions of access, permanence and identification of young people in High School, as there are deeper social issues that cannot be ignored.
