- Abstract
This article presents a reflection about decisions, in the public and in the private sectors, involving consumer products and the risks to society. For a better understanding, it was made a exploratory search of impacts and consequences of decisions taken by executives and public managers, an analysis of factors that influence the decision-making and the need for a methodology that supports the decisions taken. Some possibilities about participation of society in this process were also approached and it was made a conclusion about how each agent could contribute to the balance of decision and to decrease risks.
