- Abstract
To understand the role of the Nurse-professor in the teaching-learning process of Nursing. Qualitative study in the light of the Phenomenological perspective, developed with ten nursing professors at at the Federal University of Pelotas Faculty of Nursing. To collect the information, a phenomenological interview was used, from March to May 2017. Data was analyzed through hermeneutic analysis. The reformulation of the Course's Pedagogical Project transformed practice of the Nurse-professors Institution, caused tension in the interpersonal relationship with students and colleagues and required the pedagogical improvement of the professors. Teaching was considered as a multiple tasks work, that requires to achieve the needs of the teaching-learning, research and extension processes besides the different positions that their occupy at the University.
