- Abstract
This article discusses a minimally invasive surgical technique for treating choledocholithiasis, a condition characterized by the presence of stones in the common bile duct. The technique, called robotic common bile duct exploration with primary closure of choledochotomy, is described in detail, including the steps involved and the equipment used. The article emphasizes the benefits of minimally invasive approaches, such as reduced morbidity and mortality, compared to traditional open surgery. The authors conclude that this robotic technique is safe, feasible, and easy to learn, and they anticipate its increasing use in biliary surgery.
