- Abstract
The article offers information on some ways to shape a ladle with knives. They include trimming the bowl rim, using a long-bladed knife to cut the far side of the rim, the scissors grasp which another useful cut for bowls and other parts of the spoon, and carving the lower part of the stem in order to form a facets that connect at a bottom ridge. Moreover, the article notes how tricky and dangerous the work is, but with proper handling of the workpiece, carvers will finish their spoons and ladles beautifully.
