- Abstract
The article examines the history of labor movement in Canada, based on the Crown Attorney Prosecution Case Files which was stored at the Archives of Ontario. The author selected these case files for its distinct characteristics of providing information such as the history of the Communist Party of Canada and its members, the initiatives of Communist women in the Toronto free speech struggles in the 1920s and the history of strike activity and union organizing. One of the files also include the documentation of a strike by northern bush workers in Ontario in 1934.
