- Abstract
The article discusses a case of a complication during orogastric intubation (OGI), a common procedure performed in hospitals for stomach decompression, nutrition and medication administration, and gastric lavage. The case involves a 40-year-old female undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy who experienced a true knot formation between the suction catheter (SC) and the endotracheal tube during OGI. The SC was successfully removed along with the endotracheal tube, and the patient had an uneventful postoperative period. The article highlights the potential complications of OGI and suggests strategies to prevent such complications.
