- Abstract
The article reports on the economic developments in Canada. Ford Canada announced its third restructuring plan that would cut an additional 10,000 white-collar jobs and offering buy-outs to its entire U.S. blue-collar workforce. DaimlerChrysler Canada Inc. plans to lessen vehicle output by 24% during fourth quarter of 2006 to reduce inventories of sport utility vehicles. The Canadian subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. was bought by the Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. for $4.1 billion.
