- Abstract
As reported in the article, the department of nursing studies of the University of Wales College of Medicine has recently been designated a school of nursing studies. This gives it equal status to the schools of medicine and dentistry. Christine M. Chapman has been named as the school's first dean. Moreover, an International Conference on Management of Nursing Services in Hospitals is being arranged in Jerusalem, Israel, on 6-9 November 1988. The list of topics for discussion includes management skill mix, quality of care, burnout, and management theories.
