- Authors
Almada, Magdalena González
- Abstract
This work analyzes two novels by contemporary authors that thematize certain events in Bolivian history: Hablar con los perros (2011) by Wilmer Urrelo (1975) revisits the Chaco War (1932-1935); En el cuerpo una voz (2017), Maximiliano Barrientos (1979) configures an alternative space and time based on the events of the separatist dispute of 2008-2009. The question about the new configurations of the national in contemporary Bolivian narrative will guide this article in order to warn of the intersection of literary and historical discourses and the possibilities of analysis that they project.
