The article offers information on the special precautions and check-in procedures in applying magnetic resonance (MR) scanning. It states that no metal is allowed in the room where MR scans are performed because MR scanning uses a powerful magnet that will attract metal objects. It states that the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) suggests that the patient should consult the physician for specific information concerning the imaging exam and medical condition.
