- Abstract
The article discusses the U.S. Supreme Court's determination in the case District of Columbia v. Heller that the Second Amendment to America's Constitution contains the fundamental right of armed self-defense in the home, and it mentions how various circuit courts in the country have validated laws which place alienage restrictions on firearm ownership and possession. According to the article, illegally-present noncitizens are not entitled to the constitutional right to possess firearms.
