- Abstract
The objective of the work was to analyze the trajectory of journalists who work in the press offices of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Santa Catarina (Alesc), in the political sphere in interaction with media journalists and the legitimation strategies used to demarcate their belonging to the journalistic field. The theoretical perspective focused on the concepts of field, capital and habitus of Bourdieusian sociology conducts the analysis. The information analyzed was collected in a questionnaire applied to 36 professionals who work at Alesc. The profile of the advisers is similar to that of journalists in the media, characterized by youth, professionalization and greater training. Entry into the advisory subfield takes place through capital from public tenders or personal trajectory in the media. The migration to the subfield of the press office is justified by the compensations for the visibility of the political field, stability and security. The habitus acquired in the training allows the sharing of information with media journalists and transits between the fields of advisory and journalism. The legitimation and demarcation of positions is effected by the use of the codes of media journalism.
