The article presents an overview of the history of the Ute and the Grand Junction Indian School in Grand Junction, Colorado. A discussion of societal and government opinion concerning the education of Indians which was seen in the U.S. in the early 1900s is presented. The curriculum which was seen at the boarding school is discussed.
