- Abstract
The author discusses the rise of the use of licensing in controlling the use, sale, and manufacture of patented goods and methods and the classical exhaustion doctrine. He examines cases in determination of the authority and control that the Patent Act gives to patentees to control the manufacture, sale and use of products. License agreement litigated in Quanta Computer Inc. v. LG Electronics Inc. and the claimed elements and function of the patents at issue in the case are outlined.
