- Abstract
An editorial essay is presented examining the coverage of public choice as a concept within political science taught in U.S. colleges and universities at the introductory level. Topics addressed include description of the authors' background and ideological perspective on public choice theory, advocating the views of economist James M. Buchanan; a review of several courses and textbooks, noting a lack of coverage on the topic; and theories explaining the lack of engagement with the topic.
