Abstract
The article presents a speech by John Gieve, governor of the Bank of England, delivered at a banquet for bankers and merchants held at the Mansion House in London, England on June 21, 2006. He discussed the economic conditions in Great Britain as he suggested the need of its financial market to gain knowledge of its objective and analysis to create better judgments on the future paths of interest rates.
