- Abstract
The article presents several genetic research. A study found that the human element functions as a development enhancer, driving reporter gene expression in the anterior limb bud, pharyngeal arches, ear and eye of mid-gestation embryos. A research shows that genetic sequence play a primary role in directing species-specific transcription programs. Another one describes the ongoing development of the Population Reference Sample (POPRES) that can be used for pharmacogenetics and other studies.
