An interview with Philip Seib, professor of journalism, public diplomacy, and international relations at the University of Southern California, is presented. Topics discussed include conducting foreign policy in the information age; ways in which technology pose a new threat to diplomatic security, such as with secret negotiations; acceleration in the speed at which diplomacy may be conducted that just keeps getting faster and faster; and speed at which media posted online can cause major international incidents.
