- Abstract
The article discusses Christian demonology, exorcism and demonic possession in American popular culture during the 21st century, including in regard to the French philosopher Jean Baudrillard's perspective on the impact that virtual reality and digitization have on human's distancing from reality and reverting to beliefs in ancient gods and demons.
