- Abstract
The article focuses on the educational trends in the science teaching in the U.S. The incorporation of elementary science within an articulated kindergarten-12th year science sequence. The teaching of elementary science as a definite curriculum area instead of involving it in social studies units. A definitive structuring of elementary science in terms of planned scope, sequence, and expected outcomes. The cities and states are creating new positions for science consultants, coordinators and directors.
