- Abstract
The article asserts that the causes of the problem of invasive alien species are primarily economic and require economic solutions. It cites reasons for the increasing concern of invasive alien species. The authors argue that an economic solution to the problem comprises using incentives to change human behavior to enhance protection against the introduction, establishment, and spread of invasive behavior and developing institutions which support the weakest members of global society, turning a weakest-link to a best-shot public good.
