ANALYSIS OF SERVICE TO FATAL VICTIMS BY EXTERNAL CAUSES: DOMICILIARY SURVEY.

- Abstract
Objective: examining, in the opinion of the family, the care to fatal victims by external causes in Cuiabá. Method: a descriptive and cross-sectional study, whose population was composed of children, adolescents and young people living in the city of Cuiabá/MatoGrosso, who died by accident or aggression. The data were collected by means of the Declaration of death and household survey, using a form. For analysis was used the EpiInfo software with simple and bivariate analyzes (p < 0.05). The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee, Protocol 929/CEP-HUJM/2010. Results: most families (89.5% of all accidents and 67.6% of aggressions) considers a great quality of aid at the time of the event; for 90% of families there was no delay in service or access difficulties or unavailability of service health, with a lot of confidence in the service. Conclusion: the analysis revealed the importance of structuring the health service to meet the victims of external causes.
