- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of an investigation conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on a cluster of severe respiratory diseases caused by human metapneumovirus (HMPV) at a large hospital in Fargo, Dakota. Topics covered include the respiratory infections caused by HMPV, the underlying medical conditions of the six patients identified in 2016 and the demographic characteristics of the pediatric and adult patients with HMPV infection.
