DESIGN PROTECTION AND THE LEGISLATIVE AGENDA.
- Authors
Reichman, J. H.
- Abstract
The article highlights the very important part played by U.S. Representative Robert W. Kastenmeier in the development of U.S. intellectual property policy and discusses the possibility that the U.S. is on the verge of enacting a so-called "sui generis" law to protect functional designs of every patent system. The author relates that during the long tenure of Kastenmeier as chairman, one of the topics he focused on was design protection.
