- Abstract
This article deals with internship- and teaching-related orientations of student teachers and their changes over the course of their studies. The SNF-funded longitudinal interview study examines how primary-school student teachers deal with requirements that arise in the various practical phases and with the persons involved. By using the documentary method, a cross-sectional typology was reconstructed for each survey wave at the beginning of the study, after the partner-school year, and shortly before career entry. The results show that requirements are perceived and framed differently, not just type- but also phase-specifically. While schoolbiographical experience and questions of fit are still relevant at the start of the study, the ability to cope with professional requirements becomes increasingly central in the course of the study. The reconstructed phase specifics indicate the need for an adaptive and at the same time phaseappropriate teacher education that also takes biographical backgrounds into account.
