- Abstract
All-day schools have increasingly become a quite common institution in Germany. This process is accompanied by a change in the role of the teacher: more than ever before, teachers are required to collaborate with other professionals. Guided by the central idea that the development of competence in working in multi-professional environments must already start in initial teacher education, the Justus Liebig University in Giessen is currently developing the module «Working in Multi-Professional Teams». The goal is to sensitize student teachers to the potential for cooperating with other professionals who are also involved in the educational process and to strengthen their reflective perception of their own professionalism and their appreciation of others.
