Information on the Beef Species Symposium, "Making More but Using Less: The Future of the U.S. Beef Industry with a Reduced Cow Herd and the Challenge to Feed the United States and World," held at the Joint Annual Meeting of the American Dairy Science Association and American Society of Animal Science in Kansas City, Missouri on July 21, 2014 is presented. Topics discussed include how can beef industry meet the challenge of producing beef, stocker and feedlot industries, and cow-calf industry.
