- Abstract
The design, analysis and practice of a foundation pit with a 161 m diameter super large ring supporting structures in soft soil areas were presented. Based on the numerical analysis method of PLAXIS software, the deformation characteristics of the ring supporting structures under load are theoretically calculated by using HSS model. The results of the numerical analysis were compared with the measurement. Finally, based on the characteristics and difficulties of the project, the construction points and risk control measures in the process of foundation pit construction and excavation are summarized. The results show that ring supporting structures can effectively save the project cost and construction period, and has a good control effect on the deformation of the surrounding environment. The deformation in excavation with ring supporting structures can be effectively simulated by the HSS model which appropriate model parameters. The simulated results are consistent with the measured results, which has a good engineering practical value.
