- Abstract
The problem of the motion of an ensemble of particles in a periodic potential field has been considered. It is shown that adiabatic rotation of an external force relative to the unperturbed system generates a directed ballistic current of particles. Once formed, this current exhibits a sharp acceleration at a certain moment, which is related to the entry of particles into a resonance acceleration channel. After the sharp acceleration, the average velocity of particles somewhat decreases as a result of the formation of a reverse current.
