- Abstract
The article explores the development of the anarchistic social theory of author Peter Kropotkin and his reading of the work of social philosopher Herbert Spencer. Emphasis is given to topics such as Kropotkin's formulation of an ontology built from flux and perpetual tension, Spencer's work on animal adaptation and its influence on Kropotkin's evolutionary theories, and the case for anarchistic communism.
