- Abstract
The article addresses the shortage of neonatal nurses in Wales. According to a committee of the National Assembly for Wales, nursing shortages are hindering hospitals' services for infants and families. The committee revealed that every neonatal unit in Wales has two vacant positions for nurses. It also emphasized the need to provide funds for the training of advanced neonatal nurse practitioners (ANNPs) in order to cover for junior physicians.
