- Title
Gastrointestinal: Anorectal malignant melanoma.
- Abstract
The article focuses on anorectal malignant melanoma in the gastrointestinal tract. It states that an anorectal malignant melanoma occurs among older women and is often characterized by rectal bleeding. It states that the diagnosis of the disease is difficult in cases of amelanotic tumors. Immunohistochemistry and abdominoperineal resection are considered in detecting malignant melanomas. A case of a 47-year-old woman with sporadic rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, and tenesmus is presented.
