- Abstract
This article discusses a consensus statement by the Heart Rhythm Society and the European Heart Rhythm Association regarding the monitoring of implanted cardiac devices. These devices, such as implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) and pacemakers, are grouped as cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CEIDs). The document, which is available on the HRS Web site www.hrsonline.org, provides guidelines for the monitoring of CEIDs based on the patient's condition.
