- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of predicting solar activities and understanding the spatiotemporal distribution of the solar magnetic field. Solar activities, such as solar storms, can have significant impacts on Earth's environment and high-tech systems. The article highlights past severe solar events and the need for reliable early-warning and forecasting systems for solar eruptive events. The authors of the article present a new perspective for predicting solar activities based on synoptic maps of the solar magnetic field and mathematical methods. However, further improvements are needed in these prediction results. The article concludes by emphasizing the significance of accurately understanding and predicting future solar activities and the progress made by China in space exploration and solar science.
