- Title
The Long-Term Care Conundrum.
- Authors
Kozol, George B.
- Abstract
Demographics and mortality and morbidity trends suggest that the long-term care insurance business should be experiencing robust sales growth. Most baby boomers, Americans born between 1946 and 1965, are at a point in their lives where they should be very aware of long-term care risks and financing options. However, long-term care insurance sales have not lived up to their potential. We explore the reasons why and explore why life insurance with chronic illness accelerated death benefit riders might emerge as a popular alternative.
