- Title
The MI5 verdic.
- Authors
McGibbon, Ian
- Abstract
The article discusses the verdict of the British security officials MI5 that former New Zealand diplomat Paddy Costello was an agent of the Russian Intelligence Service. MI5 concluded that Costello was a Russian agent due to his involvement in the issuance of New Zealand passports to Soviet spies Peter and Helen Kroger in 1960. MI5's scrutiny against Costello was attributed to his communist wife Bella, who ordered several death certificates of children to create false documents or passports.
