- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a male German Shepherd dog, which was presented for a physical examination at the Cascade Animal Medical Center in Rochester. As part of a standard procedure a heartworm antigen test was performed, which was positive. The direct smears of the lung nodule aspirates contained a moderate number of erythrocytes in a highly proteinaceous condition and various inflammatory cells.
