- Title
Legal Environment for Selection in the United States.
- Authors
Gutman, Arthur
- Abstract
The article presents the author's comments on the legal environment for employee selection in the U.S. According to the author, the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws are well developed in the U.S. He says that U.S.'s general history of correcting the wrong, like declaring slavery as outlaw in the 13th Amendment is one of the reasons for its well developed nature. He also states that growing awareness of employees about their rights and privileges make selection processes better in the U.S.
