- Abstract
The article presents the authors' response to comments on their article "Value of diagnostic and therapeutic laparoscopy for abdominal stab wounds," which appeared in a previous issue. The authors agree that laparoscopy should not be performed in all patients with stab wounds just for its minimal invasiveness. The authors clarify that in their study, patients who had no signs of peritoneal violation or peritonitis underwent nonoperative management (NOM) either before or after laparoscopy.
