- Abstract
Supergene Pb-Cu sulphate, linarite, was found at a small old mine dump (part of historical mine field Zlaté studánky - Goldbrünn) in Helenín near Jihlava (the Jihlava ore district, Czech Republic). Linarite forms sky-blue grains up to 1 - 4 mm in size and rarely also imperfectly developed crystals up to 0.5 mm. The unit cell parameters of linarite refined from powder X-ray data are: a = 9.690(2) Å, b = 5.6440(8) Å, c = 4.6846(9) Å, β = 102.64(2) and V = 250.00(8) Å ³. Small crystals and aggregates of anglesite, cerussite and powder aggregates of plumbojarosite were found in association with linarite.
