- Abstract
The article focuses on the ivory zoomorphic figurine found in the site excavations in Byki-7 site in Russia. It explains that Byki-7 is a seasonal camp used for ungulate and fur game hunting, and was excavated in 2004 where such artifact was obtained. It cites that the figurine was a large ivory ring with a top shaped similar to a horse's head, and provides information on the spatial distribution of the broken artifacts in the site's pits. It states that the surface of the figurine was deformed by calcerous sinter, has several cracks, and offers no definite clue as to its function. The interpretation of its characteristics is also offered.
