- Abstract
Using HPLC we investigated the allelopathic compounds in infected olives (Olea europaea) involved in defence against pathogens attack We detected the caffeic acid, verbascoside, oleuropein, luteolin 7-O-glucoside, rutin, apigenin 7-O-glucoside and luteolin 4'-O-glucoside. The olive extracts were antifungal agaist test fungi. Ethyl acetate and acetone extracts had wide range of antimicrobial activity.
