- Abstract
The new interest in the `theme of Arab public opinion" reflects various concerns. Firstly, this theme expresses global "concern" response to the Arab governments inability to manage public opinions, including the most radical fringes. The organization of free and competitive elections in Arab countries, in accordance with the "US democratization mission" meant the removal from power or arab rulers allied to the United States undermining for the benefit of opposed US presence in the Middle East forces. However, this recent claim to require or accept polls arbitration showed how the public opinion notion has become central in the nowadays Arab political debate.
