- Abstract
The article presents information on the discrimination related to housing in the U.S. and the civil rights. A focus is on the interpretation of the federal Fair Housing Act of 1968 by the U.S. Supreme Court and the racial discriminations in the rental market. There is a need of strengthening the federal administrative regime for resolving the claims related to fair housing litigation. The problems in designing the statutory enforcement for fair housing are mentioned.
