- Authors
OLVERA, NICOLE M.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. It mentions that Dodd-Frank has changed the regulation and operation of residential mortgage brokers and bans the uses of a payment called a yield spread premium (YSP). It adds that YSP is an useful tool for homebuyers which provides the flexibility in financing their mortgage broker's compensation including the closing expenses and cash back return to the borrower.
