- Abstract
The article discusses issues on human trafficking and prostitution, particularly on why the U.S. should use the Palermo protocol in judging other countries' efforts to fight trafficking and consider the impact of legalized prostitution on trafficking. Also cited are the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, and the U.S.' four-tier system of rating the human trafficking prevention efforts by other countries.
